Maybe not the best looking Ducs. But there is something about that Hailwood-esc version. What a genius Dr. T was, you were very lucky to have known him.

They were an amazing machines, like many Italian medium size stallions they handled extremely well with enough power for the tight country wooded corners of New England. The mid size or medium Italian thorough bred are about cornering pushing the bike, the tires, me to its boundary and many times beyond the limits of the road. Medium bikes gave me the advantage to ride like a racer, an artist carving a corner, while staying out of trouble with the law and the wife, or is it the other way around. An amazing article, please write more about mid size bikes from Europe and especially Italy.

I’ve owned my 81 SL600 pantah for 30 years, it’s done 115.000 klms,

for a mid sized Ducati, it is the most stable bike I’ve ever owned, and it’s the bike that all late model Ducati’s are based on, we owe

Dr T our eternal gratitude for all his good work with Ducati,

well done Fabio 👍
